Rancho Mirage City Leaders and Tribal Chairman to Headline 2026 State of the City
The event is close to selling out. The Chamber urges business and community leaders to reserve seats and the remaining sponsorships now.
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — October 1, 2026 — The Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce will host the 2026 Rancho Mirage State of the City on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage. The full City Council will speak: Mayor Lynn Mallotto, Mayor Pro Tem Michael O'Keefe, Councilmember Ted Weill, Councilmember Eve Fromberg Edelstein, and Councilmember Steve Downs.
City leaders will report on how Rancho Mirage continues to grow and move forward. They will cover major city projects, economic development work, and community initiatives, and they will explain where the city is headed and why. Residents, business owners, and community members will hear these updates directly from the people making the decisions.
This year's program also includes a very special guest: Jeff Grubbe, Tribal Chairman of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, will deliver an exclusive update and video presentation. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is one of Rancho Mirage's most significant partners, and Chairman Grubbe's update adds a meaningful new dimension to this year's State of the City.
"State of the City is where Rancho Mirage looks at itself honestly, celebrates what we've built together, and gets clear about what comes next," said Katie Slimko-Tuvell, IOM, President and CEO of the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce. "Our city's strength comes from the connection between the leaders who shape policy and the people who live, work, and build businesses here. This event exists to strengthen that connection. And yes, we really do end on time, every single time."
The morning opens with an interactive networking hour and business expo. That gives attendees a chance to meet some of the Coachella Valley's largest stakeholders, leaders, and trailblazers before the luncheon and program begin. Seating is limited and the event is expected to sell out.
